We are excited and we congratulate the African Women Team who worked on the African Women Devotional Bible project.
The African Women Devotional Bible is a great work, and the Bible will benefit the women in a big practical way, and will also be useful to many other people who will have access to it.The Bible Society of Zimbabwe Board Chairperson, Dr Catherine Muchechetere presented the African Women Devotional Bible to the four Zimbabwean women who were part of the African Women Project Team that produced this Bible. Their names are Patricia Tarisai Mutizira, Sarah Zonde, Winnie Mapate and Elizabeth Vengeyi. The Board Chairperson was delighted to recognise the wonderful work which they did as they joined other African Women in this noble collaborative project of the Bible Societies in Africa who came together to develop a Devotional Bible for African Women.
This Scripture resource, which addresses circumstances and questions African Christian Women face in their daily lives, will be of great value for:
- individual devotional reading and,
- as a resource for training and equipping Churches and women leaders.
The Bible Society of Zimbabwe is grateful to be part of this initiative, through these women, that led to the production of this Bible. Sarah Zonde, who is one of the four Zimbabwean women, gave thanks to The United Bible Societies and Bible Society of Zimbabwe for involving them in this project.
The key features of the African Women Devotional Bible are quite captivating, and include the following:

- 52 Thematic articles addressing real life issues women face in everyday life in Africa.
- Detailed introductions to all books of the Bible
- 52 Analysis of women mentioned in the Bible, exposing their characters, strengths and weaknesses
- Highlights of Bible verses with the Women in the Bible, with short descriptions on each of them.
